| This is a picture of Ester and Henry Latta with Lena and Rev Gene Shelton at Bates. The Latta's were very good friends of the Sheltons and attended Rev. Shelton's Bates Pentecostal Church from its beginning. The Lattas lived east of Bates, about a mile and a half near where the railroad track curved. | This is picture of Rev.
